Why A Frill Abaya Instead Of A Plain One
A dual color abaya normally gets its second shade from a print, and a print drifts out of step with the base color after a season of washing. The Mahira takes its contrast from the frill panels themselves.
That matters in practice. The design survives exactly as many washes as the fabric does. There is no embroidery, no stonework and no beading to catch on a bag strap or come loose in the machine.

Chest is the deciding measurement. Measure around the fullest part of the chest with a soft tape, keeping it level, over the clothes you would normally wear underneath.
If you fall between two sizes, take the larger one. The A-line fall is designed to hang away from the body rather than cling, so the extra inch reads as drape and not as looseness.

Length is a separate option from size, so the abaya clears your ankle without dragging on the floor. Pick the length from your height, then pick your size independently from the chest chart above.

How To Style This Frill Abaya
Because the contrast lives in the frills and not in a print, a plain hijab in either of the two shades finishes it. You do not need a printed scarf to tie the look together, which is usually where a dual color abaya goes wrong.
For an occasion, match the hijab to the frill colour rather than the body colour. On a dual color frill abaya that small choice is what reads as deliberate.

Wash And Care
A frill abaya needs no special treatment. Cold machine wash on a gentle cycle with similar colors, or hand wash, and wash dark colors separately for the first two or three washes.
Do not bleach. Do not wring. Press the water out gently and hang to dry in shade.
Iron on the reverse side at a low temperature so the matte finish stays flat, and hang it on a wide hanger rather than folding it, which keeps the frill panels from creasing along a line.
