A White Overlay Abaya for Umrah, Eid and Prayer
White is the color many women choose for Umrah and Hajj, and for Eid, Jumu’ah and prayer at home. A white abaya looks fresh, stays cooler in the heat than dark colors and photographs beautifully for a family occasion. This overlay abaya is cut from opaque matte Nida, so it does not turn see-through the way thin white fabrics do. If you search for a white burqa, this is the same full length modest garment. For extra comfort, wear a light skin-tone inner underneath.
Keeping it white: wash it separately in cold water, skip chlorine bleach (it yellows the fibre over time), and dry it in shade. Treat any make-up or food marks straight away with a mild detergent.

Length is a separate option so the abaya clears your ankle without dragging. Pick it from your height, then pick your size independently. All five lengths are available in every size and every color:

Chest is the deciding measurement on this abaya. The A-line cut opens out toward the hem and the overlay panel adds a little volume at the front, so if you fall between two sizes, take the larger one. How To Wear It

Care
Cold machine wash with similar colors, or hand wash. Wash dark colors separately for the first few washes. Do not bleach or wring. Dry in shade, never in direct sunlight, and iron on the reverse side at a low temperature so the matte finish stays flat. Package contains one abaya only, without the other accessories (if any) shown in the pictures.

Questions About This White Overlay Abaya
What is an overlay abaya? An overlay abaya has an extra panel of fabric laid over the front of the abaya, which gives a layered look in a single garment. It is also searched as a layered abaya.
How do I put it on? It has a hidden zip closure, so there are no visible buttons and the front stays clean.
Are the ruffled cuffs wudu friendly? Yes. The cuffs are elasticated, so you can push the sleeve up past the elbow and it settles back on its own.
Which size and length should I pick? Take your chest measurement for the size and your height for the length. They are separate options, so a 3XL at 52 inches or an XS at 60 inches are both available.
What does A-line mean? A-line means the abaya is shaped at the shoulder and widens gradually to the hem, like the letter A, so it holds a neat shape without clinging.
Will the white show through? No. Nida Matte is an opaque fabric. In very bright sunlight a light skin-tone inner gives extra peace of mind.
Will it turn yellow after many washes? Not if you avoid chlorine bleach and dry it in shade. Those two habits keep white Nida white.
